Rig Programming

Most modern rigs (especailly HT's and Mobile VHF/UHF units) support channel and feature programming via an RS-232/serial connection w/a computer. In order to help with this task, club members are sharing programming files they have developed for their rigs with other club members. This is intened as a starting point for rig programming. You can customize the frequencies and/or features contained in the programming files as you wish when programming your rigs.

Listed below are these files and any specific programming notes and /or practices including the intended programming application. As mentioned with most rig programming software, please use at your own risk. There is an enherent risk involved whenever rig programming is done.

Use with Chirp programming software (free open-source application).

Programming file (.csv) contains a number of local repeaters and a few simplex frequencies.
In Chirp, 'download from the radio' then 'import' the .csv file. Edit (add/delete frequencies etc. if you wish) and finally 'Upload to Radio'.
Chirp support many rigs. Check their site for rig support. The frequency list supplied should work for other supported rigs as well. Editing may be needed as this list contains both VHF and UHF frequencies.
