How our training classes are run:

Training takes place typically at the Whitman police stations modern training room facility. Ross follows the ARRL published license manual, reviewing the exam questions, discussing the answers and answering any questions from the students.

Ross also uses an online flashcard system projected at the front of the class for question review, presented with multiple choice answers as with the actual exam.

As mentioned earllier, there is no cost to attend the class! 
       
 Training License Class Schedule:

Our next Training Class will be a General Class. Start Date: Oct 15, 2024. Dates will be posted and may be extended if required. Classes are held Tues. and Thurs. evenings Starting at 7PM. The Tech class will run for about 6 or more weeks as needed and finish before Thanksgiving. Additional classes may be available. A VE session will follow the class about Thur. Nov 21'st 7PM. Testing session at the Whitman Police Station Address: Memorial Field, 20 Essex St, Whitman, MA 02382

 Exam Sessions:
  • At the conclusion of the Whitman Club training class, a VE testing session will take place usually in the Whitman police station training room.
  • The Braintree EMA / K1USN club in Braintree MA offers VE testing the 2nd Saturday of the month. Advanced registration is required. Contact Steve W1OD at w1od@arrl.net to check for availablity and reserve a spot.

  • The Canton MA EMA & EMARG offers VE testing the 3'rd Thursday of each month at the Mansfield Fish and Game Club. Advanced registration is required. Contact Louis Harris at n1uec@n1uec.org to reserve a spot.
